The Web 2.0 research tool I used was KidsKnowIt. This website consists of many games for each subject, articles, educational music, podcasts, and videos and everything on the site is free!

An activity I enjoyed on the site was I typed in my classroom's spelling words and sight words and created games based on my customized spelling list. There are tabs for each subject and when you click on the subject you are looking for, many materials will pop up for you to use. This is a great tool for students to use independently I would use this tool during centers to give students an opportunity to explore different game on their own. Students will be motivated to learn using this research tool. Meskill and Mossop (2000) “report evidence of increased motivation and excitement for learning as a result of technology use” (p. 104)
